Looking for a leader

Post by jcollins »

I'm going to have my hands full with the mid-atlantic/Chesapeake rendezvous.

So...who wants to step up and take the lead on this event?

Hey John,

I'd be happy to lead or co-lead or tri-co-lead the New Egland rendezvous. We had a number of guys (and their admirals) get involved last year for a really nice event and I'm sure we can do even better this year.

Any of you other NY Metro / NE regulars have any interest in helping move this along?

Doug, Jack - - if you need another Sox/Pats/BC/Celtics fan helping out, count me in.

I'm good with that Rick but I'm not sure Doug will be (He's one of those Yankees fans). PS - just talking the fan part not the helping out.

It's fun to be a sports fan in New England right now.

Me also....

I am willing to help out also. I had some thoughts on location. Although I really like Block Island, and the Boat Basin, there was not a lot to do in the rain that early in the season. Has anyone suggested Essex? It's also centrally located, and the town would probably offer a lot more to do in June than New Harbor if the weather was not perfect.

Boston Harbor

Another destination worth considering is Boston Harbor - - tons to do and I have some great contacts at several of the marinas. Plus there are half a dozen Albins in the harbor. Either way, count me in to help out. Let'sw hope the Pats don't beat up on Indy too badly!

Boston

I figured Boston might be hard to get into for a group, but I guess I should not "assume". It is a good example of a locale with lot's to do if it's not sunbathing weather. A squadron of Albins around the Constitution seems like a good photo-op!

Rick -
Just as a check. Try deleting cookies on your browser. Select "tools", then "internet options", then under browsing history select "delete".
I had trouble with the logon for awhile. I kept having to logon twice before it recognized me.

If not, I'm sure John will chime in and fix you right up.

Hey Rick,

Jack K's instructions should work but if you find yourself not wanting to delete cookies (I lose all of my saved site log-ons if I do that) you can try clicking on the "Log on to read my messages" link. I can't explain why that works but it does.

All set

All set. Turns our we were rebooting our company servers. I thought perhaps a disgruntled sports fan was still mad the Patriots ran up the score and the Sox took the series!

Thanks all.
