A25 watertank, any use? Free

Post by tribologist »

Have a leftover A25 tank. Free to anyone that need a replacement. Lid is good to if anyone lost that or butchered it in some way

I really need that tank! This is the white poly triangular one? Mine froze split and I replaced it with a flexible Vynal one. Water never as good as the original tank. I’m in Vermont and back and forth to Rockland ME.

Here are two images. There is no significant wear on the bottom. (Says the guy with a PhD in tribology... lol)

If Andrew doesn't take it then calculate the cost to box & ship to zip code 85383 & I'd be glad to have it as a spare, since I had to make repairs to some leaks in mine last year & no intention to do a bow thruster project. Not anxious to go through removing & replacing the tank again, but just in case. Obviously the same fit as mine since our boats are one hull number off sisters. Shoot me a PM or email. Actually willing to pay a fair price above shipping costs since it's otherwise just about irreplaceable as an OEM part. That said sounds like Andrew needs it more than I do so he should get first dibs. ALWAYS, ALWAYS DRAIN THE TANK AS PART OF WINTERIZATION!

Thanks!

I also have a couple of A25 water tanks. One appears totally ok, the other has a repair/plug on the drain and the lid opening flange sealing surface is rough and sloshes out a little during rough seas. Put a walmart bag over the opening and install the lid. I used it this way for years-no problem. Free to a good home. Both replaced during thruster installs.

Tribologist,
I’m planing a trip down on May 18, if that still works for you. Or we could meet north of your place. I’ll buy lunch. Andrew Cook Diligent1

Tribologist, I’m heading your way on the 18th, or 19th. You are about 140 mi south on 91. Is there a time that would be convenient for you? Any time on the 19th, or on the 18th before 2 pm.

I have a meeting on the 18th at 5pm , wide open on the 19th or 20th.

Let me know what works.

Sorry DA. Andrew came down yesterday. We had a very nice little back porch Albin rendezvous.

Hopefully we can get Andrew to join up with us this summer on the canals.

He is a hardcore Albinner. Had his A25 since 1986 if I got it correct. Right Andrew?
