About to make 1800 mile trip!

Post by GrummanPilot »

Hello everyone, I'm about to purchase a mid-90s 28 TE with 6lpa-stp yanmar.

The plan is to purchase it in Maine around late August and spend a week or so sea trialing and fixing anything that needs attention. As well as installing a new garmin plotter, xhd radar and AIS. It's on the hard so that should make it easier to install some things.

I've owned several boats but only outboards. I'm interested in any advice anyone has as well as what spares to bring.

Looking forward to chatting on the board for a long time to come!

Welcome to the group!
I'm located in Maine - @ Brewer's in So. Freeport. Have had our 2001 28te since 2014 - made some helpful improvements.
Like to hear more of your experience after the sea trial period.
