I’ve been on the forum for a little while and bought a 2000 Albin 28TE with the Yanmar 6LP-STE earlier this year. We moved the vessel to the west coast and finally got it in good running condition. It’s a great boat so far.

We moved down from an older 34’ Californian. We owned that boat for many years but the maintenance was greater than what we wanted (woodwork, two engines, lots more in the way of onboard systems,…etc).

The new boat is smaller and much faster and we are able to enjoy it more due to the speed of getting out and exploring.

We have learned a lot from this forum and meme era and look forward to learning more in the future.

Thank you for all the insights documented to date. I look forward to helping others as well.

Welcome aboard! I think I recognize the location of your photo, a mooring off Two Harbors on Catalina Island. We were there in 2017 with our Albin 25, coming out from Huntington Beach after trailering over from Phoenix. Looks like you were on the string line like we were. That was my 3rd time going out to Catalina in my own boat, sailing a Montgomery 15 from Marina Del Rey in 2003 and a Catalina 25 from San Pedro in 2012 after a harbor hop up from Chula Vista on San Diego Bay.

Yes it was at two harbors but on the west side where there is no string line. The string line also has a max length limit of 25’. I was in r-row.
