Replacement Electrical Panel

Another question guys - I haven't been able to find a readily available electrical panel for the helm, for when it's time to replace mine. I measure mine at 10.5 x 6.5".

Now, the wiring behind there is pretty much a mess. Not that it is that untidy, but unless you have 8" bony fingers, I don't see how you can access some of the connections, especially since I added the 3rd hydraulic steering line when I added the autopilot. So, I have been able to make do for the time being as I have really not had to access the more difficult ones. Having said that, my middle bilge pump has never worked by the manual switch, and looking at the inaccessibility of the connections at the back quickly changes my mind from needing it.

I figure at some time something more critical may not work, and I will have to spend a couple of days with rewiring....and I might go to a simpler panel at the same time. Or, maybe I just need to understand this panel a bit better... as it looks like you can replace the individual switches on the Albin panel...

My panel is also nearing the end of its life. Check out new wire marine. They will make you a new panel any size you want and add labels, back lighting, albin logo, whatever you want. It will be plug and play when they are done.

I am also talking to New Wire about a replacement panel.
Sent them a few pictures for an initial estimate, working with a guy named Rob Snyder.
Considering joining the primary switch/fuse panel and the 3 windshield
Wiper panel and moving the fuel gauge inside somewhere.

Blue Sea Systems also has a custom "Panel Wizard" that you can design a replacement panel online. You can choose switch or breaker style, labels, and it comes fully wired. Might be slightly cheaper than the full custom panel, and you can get replacement components anywhere. I am looking into that route for a replacement panel, have some other projects to prioritize first

Looked at that, but seems confusing as none of their choices matches the Albin 28TE panel.
How long into this process are you?

Not far into the process. Trying to find a single column switch panel so I can fit a larger gps in the dash. This one would fit, but only has 12 circuits vs the 14 currently. https://www.bluesea.com/products/1223/1 ... 2_Position
