Thanks Doug, I am working with the Canvas store in Huntington ny, we are trying to nest the bimini frame to the angle at the pilot house when not in use. Do not want to change the line of the boat.
Do not want it to fold down on to the transom. I am only going to come back 5' from roof to stern. Pics are helpful. Thanks

Check out the 2008 31TE on yachtworld, the bimini seems to have the right lines...

I had my bimini done by Dor a Mar in Sayville. They did a lot of the canvas work for White Water Marine when they had the Albin line. My bimini folds down to the transom or I can fold it up towards the hard top.

Here's a link to our canvas project & enclosure. May be more than you want, but it may give you some ideas. Good Luck!

Good chance Sonny III's was done by them as well, since she also came out of White Water Marine.

for a couple seasons the "admiral" has been wanting a bimini for sun protection at dock and anchor. for about $150 i bought the taylor made anchor shade. large beach umbrella like cover. post sits on motor cover and tie downs secure to cleats. up and down very quickly, protection from the sun and attractive.comes in many colors. no hardware on gunnels and no pipe frame, (important to me as a fisherman). stows easily in its own bag and i keep it in rear berth of my 28te. not to be used when under way.

cheap, easy, and effective

+1 with Special K. I have a bimini that I took down. Too much hardware. I use the Anchor Shade and it works very well for us.
Quick to put up and take down and no hardware.

Got a piece of canvas that can be used 3 ways:

Normal:

B46062D8-C9F0-41DD-81A9-1EB38E2A47F6.jpeg
Storage

The third position is the aft flap un-folded to give twice the shading area for low sun behind the boat.
Easy to change between the various positions, takes only a few seconds.
