Hey Gery! Glad to hear you'll be there. We're overdue to meet since you were unable to get to the first rendezvous and I haven't made it to one since.

I was so dissappointed when we broke down that first year.

we don't own an albin, yet, but would like to speak to albin owners. can we visit the rendezvous for chit chat with owners? thanks, eric.

Of course you may. I would suggest Friday or Sat evening, cocktail hour, bring 4 bottles of Moet, a bottle of Stoli, and a case of Heinekan and you will make lot's of friends! LOL just kidding! "Social hour " on the dock is a great time to tour other people's boats and chat about what you are looking for. Ask for me when you get there and I will be happy to introduce you around.

Any plans/thoughts for the Saturday cookout. Maybe a list of food suggestions that each boat could sign up for or leave it up to each boat to bring their own choices?? The common items (charcoal,paper plates,plastic ware,cups,etc.) should come out of a fund that all boats contribute to.

Things seemed to turn out pretty good last year as just a pot luck. If you think it would be better to start a list and do sign-ups then I nominate you as a committee of one to get that going. Feel free to post a sign up list on this thread.

And Doug on Sonny III! The girls can't make it but I can't miss another! I'll be there on Thursday, leaving Saturday.

Pot luck is fine with us as long as nobody gets to lay out cash without reinbursement e.g. charcoal for the common use grills. We can determine the needs on the dock and all chip in then. Another good turnout based on the list so far.

Sorry but we will need to drop out of this years Rendezvous. It is for a good reason and we are very excited about it. We are trading in our trusty 2005, 28 TE on the 2006 Albin 40 in Portsmouth RI. We just completed the deal today after a trip this weekend to the boat. It is a new 2006 with some things that need to be repaired but we feel like we got a great deal and it is a monster of a boat. New engine warranties on the Yanmar 370's. It has been awlgripped by Hinckley and the hull is a beautiful flag blue. Found a great surveyor and are working on electronics and a little canvas. Will not be in the water until the first week in August.
We will be there next year and may drop in by car if we are transitting up and down 95 to square a few things away that weekend.
We will miss seeing everyone again, as we did enjoy last year.
