Albin 35 yanmar non start

Post by jimtolonen »

We have a 2000 albin 35 tournament Express with twin yanmar 6lp-ste power.
Concern is a non-start issue on starboard engine. Cranks strong, won't start. Has occurred twice when, after running, shut down, running over a period of 3 hours, won't restart. After a period of 2 +/- hours without attempting to start it will start up functioning properly.
Between the 2 non-start incidents we have topped off the tanks and changed out both the
Racor and engine canister fuel filters. We have had no issues with the port engine.
6 months ago the top end of the engine was gone through to replace a broken rocker arm.
The boat had been operated multiple times without any non-start subsequent to that repair.

Any ideas?
Air leak in system?
Shutdown solenoid/linkage?
