Were all in the same boat

So, that phrase has a truer meaning after this weekend!

I know Ric relayed my Absolute (or was it Ketel One?) enjoyment of our trip to Boston and meeting you and your mates. My new found wisdom is that smart men buy Albins, and those same smart men have made very smart choices in their partners! You all were way more fun than I ever expected.

Guys, please pass my email address to the ladies so we can stay in touch.

Stay well, and I'm already looking forward to next encounter.

Well Karen, I’d have to agree with you on ALL points :D .

Erika & I totally enjoyed your company as I have already mentioned to Ric. I will pass your post onto Erika and I’m sure she’ll be in touch.

Now that I've had some time to get back to the norm here and think back to this past weekend (what I remember of it anyway  )I too realize that I have learned a few things.

I'll put myself out on the firing line and share some:

If a New Englander says "Sounds Good" "I'm In" "We'll Be There" or anything of the like, expect to hear from them sometime thereafter

If a New Englander says "It's just a 5 minute walk", use public transportation

New Englanders are willing to break the law for a free breakfast

The Albin brochure failed to mention the cabin on a 28TE seats 8 to 10 drunks comfortably

You can never be too drunk to hang out with old people

You should never tie your trolling rigs while drinking Pyrat Rum or Heineken or any combination thereof

The non-skid on the bow of an Albin is not continuous onto all surfaces

In Albin-ometry 31 minus 3 does not equal 28

Someone's imaginary wife can appear at any moment

People without kids really don't like talking about other people's kids

BOMBS AWAY 8)
I'll put myself out on the firing line and share some:

If a New Englander says "Sounds Good" "I'm In" "We'll Be There" or anything of the like, expect to hear from them sometime thereafter "WE WILL & WE DID"

If a New Englander says "It's just a 5 minute walk", use public transportation "WHAT DO YOU EXPECT FROM AN AD GUY" :!:

New Englanders are willing to break the law for a free breakfast "AND SO WILL WILL SOME NEW YORKERS . WHO DO YOU THINK TAUGHT US" ...

The Albin brochure failed to mention the cabin on a 28TE seats 8 to 10 drunks comfortably "TRUE"

You can never be too drunk to hang out with old people "TRUE"

You should never tie your trolling rigs while drinking Pyrat Rum or Heineken or any combination thereof TRUE "YOU SHOULD PUT THE DRINK DOWN AND PICK IT BACK UP WHEN THE KNOTS ARE TIED"

The non-skid on the bow of an Albin is not continuous onto all surfaces

In Albin-ometry 31 minus 3 does not equal 28 HOW SO VERY TRUE!!!

Someone's imaginary wife can appear at any moment  WAS SHE FOR HIRE???

People without kids really don't like talking about other people's kids "OH COME ON" :P :
Hey gigi ..... Thanks ... and ditto ...

Nicely done Kevin but it looks like I need to re-phrase one for clarity:

You should never use trolling rigs previously tied by somenone who, while tieing said rigs, was drinking Pyrat Rum or Heineken or any combination thereof

A few more learnings

More Rendezvous thoughts...

New Yorkers, to their credit, include sausage as a main food group

Albin wives deserve big money awards for their patience but they need to stay away from the blow-up doll in a kilt.

Heads (or bathrooms) are just decorative areas in Albins to store towels

Asian doxies prefer Wesport megayachts over Albins

Bow thruster use increases when there's an audience

And nobody made fun of my make believe wife!

And we'll see you all in Essex,CT. So who's signing up to coordinate?

There you go .... especially when in massive quantities! I NEED to find some Pyrat Rum ....

Joanie was offered tickets from one of her marketing reps today to the SOX on Wednesday Row 9 Field Box behind home plate one row below the radar gun ........ and as you always said "GO SOX"

See you in ESSEX, CT

So just how drunk do you have to be Rob? Remember we've all been drinking a lot longer than you.... were you drunk? I was just getting a little loose.... come to Essex & I'll show you drunk!

And the tomatoes are a flying...

As far as the next event the problem with Essex is the fishing. I think Montauk is just as accessible a location and the fishing is 2nd to none (except Boston of course)

I'd like to push Montauk over Essex.

Excellent!

Excellent idea Rob! I nominate Rob to organize our 2009 Albin Rendezvous in Montauk, do I have a second?

Don't forget John & Marcia - Joint Venture is a Montauk resident this season!

Can I 2nd my own boat? If yes, then I vote for Rob & John in Montauk.

I think Rob would make a wonderful organizer. He says he has a boat too!

Consider the nomination seconded!

You know Rick, you're right. I don't think I've really seen Rob on a boat of his own.....
