Water Pressure System

Post by James Grant »

Morning Folks;

I've got a leak in the pressure system and can't for the life of me find it, I have looked everywhere and not found any water. It's enough that the pump will pressure up every 30 sec or so. Any chance it might be the pump itself?
If so how would someone proof that.

It could be the pump or the pressure switch. You could plug the pump outlet and see what happens.

1+ Plug the outlet and see what happens. Mine crapped out by cycling on and off with no leaks. There was an internal leak in the pump. ? Jabsco PAR I think....I'm not there now.

After purchasing a new pump and going through all the other hurdles was that it was a rupture in the feed to the pump. I have copper thru-out the boat and thought I was winterized when I wasn't. The solution was to run a hose (plastic feed) from the 2 aft tanks along the stringer to the pump then all worked well.
Good luck.
